Suck up the good stuff!

Why not get the most out of your product!  The choice is yours, but we can’t stress enough how much better it is when you follow these easy instructions when bathing your client's pets.  Nature’s Specialties is a premium product line and you are actually putting more into the coat then you are taking out.

  • Step 1: Dilute the shampoo in a mixing bottle as per the specified ratio.
  • Step 2: Apply the shampoo directly to the dry coat and massage in. Do not WET the pet down first! THE FIRST THING THAT HITS THE DRY COAT GETS SUCKED UP! If you wet the pet down first you are actually diluting the shampoo more than you should and your pet is not getting the full benefit from the premium product that you are using.
  • Step 3: Gradually add more water to better distribute the product down the legs, face and throughout the coat. The longer the product stays on the better.  We recommend massaging in for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Step 4: Rinse thoroughly.

Dogs with Skin Issues:

If the pet in question has a lot of dead, flaky skin and it is hard to get the shampoo to physically reach the skin, then we use Nature's Specialties Citrusshampoo for the first bath.  Citrus is more economical than most of the shampoo’s with the more exotic oil contents.  Again,  leave on for 5-10 minutes while massaging in.  Leaving the Citrus shampoo on the coat, gently blow dry the pet's skin and coat, this removes the dead skin and acts as an exfoliant.  The dead flaking skin should be easily rinsed away, leaving the skin visible for the second shampoo of choice.  This way the pet's skin and coat will receive the full benefit of these amazing products.

Important Tip:

If you have chosen a natural anti-microbial product such as Nature’s Specialties Neem or Derma Treat, to help soothe compromised dry, itchy, skin, then allow time for the products to do their jobs properly.  By applying these products and washing them out right away, the pet will not receive the benefit of these helpful skin and coat treatments.

Caution:

PET STYLIST SHOULD NEVER USE THESE TECHNIQUES OF BLOW DRYING IN TUB WITHOUT WEARING A BREATHE HEALTHY MASK, THIS PREVENTS DEBRIS FROM ENTERING YOUR LUNGS! Always recommend that pets with skin issues go see their vets. We can only offer skin treatments that help soothe itchy skin and possibly help the pet cope while under the vet's care.
