UVA/UVB exposure can damage a dog's skin and coat.  Nature's Specialties carries two products that can help guard against damage caused by the sun: Sun Guard® and Sun Tamer®.  Each product is used differently, below are tips for best results:

Sun Tamer®

Sun Tamer® conditioner helps to keep darker coats from being bleached out by the sun while giving your short coated pets some added protection. It is also great for problem coats with mats, frizz, static, or that are lacking luster. It creates an immediate brilliant shine and a little bit goes a long way.  Used by many show handlers and professional groomers for that finishing touch, that adds a great show quality look. Caution: do not overuse as it could make the coat a bit greasy, we advise show handlers to sample the product at home between shows to learn how it is best applied to your specific dog's coat.

How to use:

• Hold the spray nozzle approximately 8-10 inches away from the coat
• Spray the product and let it fall onto the coat
• You will notice an instant shine

Sun Guard®

The salon quality ingredients in this leave in (64:1) conditioner with its UVA/UVB protection helps guard against sun damage to the skin and coat. It quickly saturates into the skin and coat helping to eliminate damage, so you are left with a silky smooth, beautiful shine and hair so manageable you’ll be tempted to use it on yourself.

How to use:

1. As a conditioner following the bath: dilute approximately 12:1 with warm water following the bath, let is sit on the coat for 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
2. As a leave-in conditioner following the bath: dilute approximately 64:1 with warm water, apply it to the damp coat and blow dry.
3. As a conditioning spray between baths: dilute approximately 64:1 in a spray bottle and spray on the dog before going into the sun. This is also a great product to sell to your grooming clients.
