Why Grooming Is Important
Regular Grooming helps keep your dog’s skin and coat healthy. Here are three reasons grooming is important:
- Every time you brush and comb, loose hair and debris are removed from the coat, leaving it clean and healthy.
- Brushing and combing helps stimulate the blood supply to the skin.
- It strengthens the epidermal cells and enriches the oils and color, giving your dog a healthier and shinier coat.
Is It Harmful To Bath Your Dog?
- This is a question commonly asked by gaming and working dog owners!
- It can be harmful if you are not using the right products to bathe your dogs often.
IMPORTANT: Not to use a harsh shampoo which will strip the natural oils from your dogs coat! Present Products are greatly improved!
Professional Grooming Products
Concentrates Go Further…
- Fill mixing bottle with warm water then add product. Most Professional Grooming Shampoos are high dilution ratios where you will mix 16 parts water to 1 part shampoo. These ratios are written on the labels.
- Only mix what you're going to use for the present bath. These products are biodegradable and will start to decompose in a couple of days.
- Always rinse bottle after use, so bottles do not develop bacteria, and leave upside down to dry out until next use…
Apply Shampoo to Dry Coat
- The Reason that it's best to apply to the dogs dry coat is because the first thing that touches it will get sucked up. When your have a great product your putting more into the coat then your taking out so you want to get the full benefit.
- Then gradually introduce more water to more evenly distribute the shampoo throughout the coat

Ear Cleaning
Regular ear cleaning can prevent problems down the road. Cleaning Techniques: If the ears are excessively dirty, place a small amount of the solution in the ear, and then massage the base of the ears. At this point your dog will want to do a head shake. Let the dog give a good shake which will help loosen debris inside the ear. If possible lock down a cotton ball in the hemostat or use your finger, and gently use it to wipe out the inside of the ear. Repeat as often as needed, working from the inside out with a fresh cotton swab, until no more wax is seen on the cotton swab. This should be done on a regular basis, not more than once every 2 weeks. If you notice redness or tenderness contact your vet.
