Nature's Specialties' shampoos and conditioners are highly concentrated, but are you diluting them enough?  We have helped many groomers save money and get the most out of their shampoo by following our simple dilution method. What you need:

• Pumps for gallons
• Mixing bottles
• Shampoo/conditioner
• Water

How We Dilute:

• Attach a pump to your Nature's Specialties gallon bottle
• Add water to the mixing bottle
• Pump the desired amount of shampoo into a basic mixing bottle
• Shake the bottle until the product has mixed with the water

The question is...how many pumps of shampoo do you need to bathe 1 dog?

The examples below are for your average dog, using a shampoo with a dilution ratio of 24:1.  If you use a shampoo with a higher ratio (i.e. 50:1), then use approximately half as much as our examples below.  If you use a shampoo with a lower ratio (i.e. 16:1), then use approximately twice as much shampoo.  - these are recommendations only.   Large Dog (up to 70 lbs):  Example: Nature's Specialties High Concentrate Shampoo for Dirty Dogs is a great choice for large farm dogs, and has a dilution ratio of 24:1.  We would fill a 32 oz mixing bottle almost to the top with water, then add 2 full pumps of shampoo to the mixing bottle. Medium Dog (up to 50 lbs):  Example: Nature's Specialties Smelly Pet Shampoo is a popular deodorizing shampoo with a dilution ratio of 24:1.  We would fill a 16 oz mixing bottle almost to the top with water, then add 1 full pump of shampoo to the mixing bottle. Small Dog (up to 30 lbs):  Example: Nature's Specialties Plum Silky Shampoo is the  #1 choice for professional groomers and has a dilution ratio of 24:1.  We would fill an 8 oz mixing bottle almost to the top with water, then add 1/2 a pump of shampoo to the mixing bottle. If you are using more shampoo than our recommendations above, there is a good chance you are not getting the most out of your shampoo! NOTE: There will be times when you may choose not to dilute the shampoo, such as when a dog has fungus between its toes or other severe skin issues. CAUTION: ONLY dilute the product you will use for the current bath! Nature's Specialties is biodegradable so if you premix shampoo it will eventually start to breakdown and decompose!
