The CeramicEdge® Detachable Blade, engineered from carbonized steel. Enhanced with advanced ceramic technology, CeramicEdge stays cooler longer than metal blades, so you can carve your way through close coifs and detailed work. Andis CeramicEdge blades run up to 75% cooler than traditional steel blades and hold a sharper edge longer — meaning less downtime, less coolant, and a more comfortable clip for every pet. Chrome finishing resists rust and corrosion. Compatible with Andis AG, AGC, BDC, DBLC, EBC, MBG, and SMC series clippers, as well as Oster, Wahl, Laube, and Conair detachable-blade clippers.

  • #4FC — Full/Finish Cut | 3/8" (9.5 mm) Even-toothed finish cut blade. Leaves a smooth, blended coat at 3/8". Great for body work on short-legged terriers, short puppy cuts on Lhasas and similar breeds, and as a finishing blade over a #4 skip-tooth cut. Can be used pre- or post-bath.

  • #5FC — Full/Finish Cut | 1/4" (6.3 mm) Even-toothed finish cut blade. Leaves coat at 1/4". Ideal for smooth body trims on medium-coated breeds and as a finishing pass over a #5 skip-tooth blade. Works with or against the natural lay of the coat.

  • #7FC — Full/Finish Cut | 1/8" (3.2 mm) Even-toothed finish cut blade. Leaves coat at 1/8". A go-to for body work on cats with light matting, short body trims on Cocker Spaniels, and finishing over a #7 skip-tooth blade. Not recommended for skip-tooth applications on cats.

  • #10 — Full Cut | 1/16" (1.5 mm) Standard full-cut blade. Leaves coat at 1/16". One of the most versatile blades in the kit — widely used for face, ears, paw pads, sanitary trims, and prep work across virtually all breeds. A staple for groomers at every level.

  • #30 — Full Cut | 1/50" (0.5 mm) Close-cut blade. Leaves coat at 1/50". Used for face, throat, feet, and base of tail on Poodles, detailed finish work, and anywhere a tight, precise cut is needed. Compatible with the Andis 8-Piece and 9-Piece Small Comb Sets.

  • #40 — Full Cut | 1/100" (0.25 mm) Very close-cut blade. Leaves coat at 1/100". Suited for fine finish work, close trims, and veterinary-adjacent grooming applications. For surgical-close cuts, see the #40SS.

Note: FC (Full Cut / Finish Cut) blades feature even-spaced teeth designed to glide smoothly through clean coats. They are ideal pre- or post-bath and produce a clean, finished look.
